National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (NILD) (Divyangjan), B T Road, Bonhooghly, Kolkata -700090, has invited applications for the Common Entrance Test (CET-2019) for admission to the Under Graduate Courses at NILD, SVNIRTAR (Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation, Training and Research, Olatpur. P.O: Bairoi Dist: Cuttack, Odisha;; and NIEPMD (National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (Divyangjan), East Coast Road, Kovalam Post, Muttukadu, Chennai-603112;, institutes under the Department of Empowerment of PwDs (DIVYANGJAN) Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India.

The Courses and eligibility are as follows: (i) Bachelor in Physiotherapy (BPT): 10+2 Science PCB & English  (ii) Bachelor in Occupational therapy (BOT): 10+2 Science PCB & English  (iii) Bachelor in Prosthetics & Orthotics (BPO): 10+2 Science PCB/PCM & English (Physics-P, Chemistry-C, Mathematics-M; Biology-B)

All the courses are of 4 years duration with another 6 months Internship. The availability of courses at the three centres is as follows: NILD, Kolkata: (i) BPO (ii) BOT (iii) BPT (affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata); SVNIRTAR, Cuttack: (i) BPO (ii) BOT (iii) BPT (Utkal University, Bhubaneswar); NIEPMD, Channai: (i) BOT (ii) BPT (Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University).

Detailed Eligibility: NILD, Kolkata: (i) For BPO, applicant should have passed 10+2 (Higher/Senior Secondary Examination)/ equivalent with  Physics (P), Chemistry (C), Biology(B) or Mathematics (M) and English with minimum aggregate of 50% in PCB/PCM when taken together for General/OBC and 40% for SC/ST & PH candidates.For  BOT& BPT-10+2 (Higher/Senior Secondary Examination) / equivalent ith Physics (P), Chemistry (C), Biology(B) and English with minimum aggregate of 50% in PCB when taken together for General/OBC and 40% for SC/ST & PH candidates

NIEPMD, Chennai: For BOT and BPT: 10+2 (Higher/Senior Secondary Examination)/equivalent with Physics (P), Chemistry (C), Biology (B)(Botany and Zoology) and English.

SVNIRTAR, Cuttack: BPO: Passed 10+2 in science or equivalent with Physics (P), Chemistry (C), Biology (B)/Mathematics (M) with minimum 50% in PCB/PCM and other test will be eligible. For SC/ST and PH candidates, the minimum mark should be 40% and 45% respectively; BOT and BPT: Passed 12th standard/ equivalent examination having English as a subject and a minimum of 50%in science with Physics (P), Chemistry (C), Biology(B) as mandatory subjects. For SC/ST and PH candidates, the minimum mark should be 40% and 45% respectively

Applicant should have been born between 1st January, 1999 and 31st December, 2002 (inclusive of both dates). For applicants of SC, ST & PH categories, those born between 1st January, 1994 and 31st December, 2002 (inclusive of both dates) are eligible.

Test format: The Entrance Test will have one paper of 2 hours duration with 100 multiple choices objective type questions of one mark each of 10+2 Science standard. It will have 2 parts. Part-A will have questions from General Ability & General Knowledge for 10 marks. Part-B will have questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Zoology & Botany)/Mathematics carrying 30 marks each.

The Entrance Test will be held at Agartala, Aizwal, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jharsuguda, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Naharlagun, New Delhi, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Secunderabad, Siliguri, Srinagar, Trivandrum and Vijayawada. An applicant can opt any three centres as per their convenience.

Application Fee is Rs.600/- for SC/ST/PwD Candidates Rs.750/- for others. Application fee can be paid by way of online payment through State Bank Collect. Offline payment can be made by way of a Demand Draft to be taken in favour of ‘National Institute for Orthopaedically Handicapped’ payable at Kolkata.

Filled application form will be received till 5 pm on 24.05.2019. Online submission of applications will also be closed at 5 pm on 24.5.2019.
